Material Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative with a keen interest in Material Control. With this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are managed effectively.
This is an ongoing PAYE contract opportunity based on-site at the client facility in Surrey, ideal for those eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment with a natural interest in Automotive Engineering or Motorsport.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are managed effectively.
- Assist in the control and tracking of materials within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the Material Control team to support inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and organised.
- Operate warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to inspect and approve incoming materials.
- Organise and label stockroom for efficient inventory retrieval.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inventory documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships and address quality or supply issues.
- Forecast stock requirements with production planning.
- Identify and manage obsolete inventory to minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Respond to urgent stock needs and coordinate emergency responses.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management insights.
- Valid driver's license for movement of parts between site facilities.
- Previous experience in a Stock Control or Warehouse environment.
- Holiday and Bank Holiday pay.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,500 per annum, depending on experience.
