About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Leader to join our team at Elis in Leicester. As a Production Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a production shift to ensure the smooth operation of our Industrial Laundry site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a production shift to ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager and other internal teams to continuously improve site effectiveness and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and legislation, including training staff on plant and machinery.
  • Manage production operations to produce quality products that meet customer requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Train, motivate, and coach the production team to achieve Operational Excellence and Service Excellence.
  • Empower staff to take personal responsibility for ensuring actions are taken in response to requests.
  • Provide supervision and direction to the production team to ensure Operational Excellence is achieved and maintained.
  • Contribute to feedback and debriefing sessions to identify common operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Constantly seek out opportunities to improve systems and procedures.
  • Manage and control all activities in accordance with the production plan and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets are achieved.
Requirements
  • Practical knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff.
  • Leadership and People Management skills; recruitment, induction.
  • Highly customer-focused.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to execute the organisational plan.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the customer & Elis.
  • Basic PC literacy.
  • Ability to deliver quality results under pressure.
  • Self-motivated.
