About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Leader to join our team at Elis, a leading international provider of textile, hygiene, and facility services solutions. As a Production Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Industrial Laundry site in Leicester, working closely with the Production Manager and other internal teams to drive site improvement, vision, and business plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the production operation to produce quality products that meet customer requirements, are produced efficiently, and delivered on time.
  • Leadership: Provide supervision and direction to the production team, coach, motivate, and support staff to achieve Operational Excellence and Service Excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly seek out opportunities to improve systems and procedures, ensuring the continuous improvement of all functional activities.
  • Cost, Stock, and Materials Management: Report statistics on an hourly basis, manage and control activities in accordance with the production plan, and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets are achieved.
Requirements
  • Practical Knowledge: LEAN Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership and People Management Skills: Recruitment, induction, and development of staff.
  • Customer Focus: Highly customer-focused with attention to detail.
  • Basic PC Literacy: Ability to execute the organizational plan and make decisions.
