About the Role

Aspens Services Ltd, a leading contract catering company, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team. We are committed to delivering exceptional food and service to our schools, and we need someone who shares our passion for excellence.

The Catering Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the operational and financial management of our school's catering facility. This includes leading and developing the kitchen team, ensuring consistency of food and service standards, and driving sales through promotions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the kitchen team, providing coaching, training, and motivation to ensure high-quality food and service.
  • Manage the catering operation, including stock, food, and labor costs, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement menu plans that meet the needs of our students and staff.
  • Oversee the implementation of company systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure standards are being met and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and health and safety practices.
  • Financial management skills, including gross profit management and sales target achievement.
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients, with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.42.
  • A 35-hour workweek, with no late nights, and 38 weeks of paid time off per year.
