Job Summary

The Warehouse Agent is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. This includes accurate receiving, loading, storing, and executing shipment orders. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.

Inbound Freight:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for counting all products, taking weight, and comparing to manifest to ensure accuracy. They will also be responsible for reporting any discrepancies, including shortages, damages, and overages. Additionally, they will be required to unload inbound shipments safely and move product to assigned storage locations.

Storage:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for maximizing space usage and properly storing items on racks, locations, and ready rows using our company system and scripts.

Cargo Handling:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for ensuring that the correct number and type of product are being handled. They will transport orders to shipping locations or assigned doors with material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and squeeze machines. They will also review markings, addresses, and cargo labels to ensure accuracy.

Outbound Freight:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for comparing quantity, labeling, and address with orders to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. They will also be required to sign necessary documents and use system scripts for record keeping.

Facility and Equipment:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring warehouse areas are neat, clean, and organized. They will also operate equipment safely and efficiently, complying with all local, OSHA, and Expeditors' standards.

Inventory:

The Warehouse Agent will be responsible for keeping accurate records and reports, assisting in physical inventories and cycle counts, and may be required to key inventory adjustments into our company system.

Manual handling of boxes and freight on a regular basis as part of inbound freight receiving.Manual sortation of freight at PO and SKU level.Loading and unloading trailers and containers manually.

Requirements:

6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely.Pro-active, strong organizational skills.Good computer skills (Excel, Word).Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).Fluent in English.
