Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the State of Ohio. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our public safety efforts by analyzing and interpreting complex data to identify patterns and trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and analyze informational databases, spreadsheets, and reports to facilitate the exchange of information between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and taskforces.
  • Prepare intelligence reports, products, and briefings for presentation to public safety partners.
  • Collect, research, and analyze intelligence information and other resources to determine patterns, trends, and movements of criminals to aid law enforcement agencies with investigations.
  • Coordinate research activities with other departmental units and/or outside agencies.
  • Assist in reviewing and recommending intelligence/analytical related software and hardware equipment.
  • Create sophisticated and/or complex criminal and narcotic-related policies.
  • Formulate and implement plans, policies, and procedures for the receipt of locally and federally generated time-sensitive threat information.
Requirements
  • 36 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques.
  • Or completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs, or a related field, and 12 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LEADS certification.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a secret-level federal security clearance.
Working Conditions

This position requires a valid driver's license to operate a state-owned vehicle or the ability to provide own transportation. May require some travel, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational need.
