About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Acton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Individualized Support: Work one-on-one or in small groups with SEN students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Assist in Lesson Delivery: Help deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, tailored to meet students' unique needs.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour: Encourage positive social interactions and implement behaviour management strategies as necessary.
  • Support Classroom Activities: Collaborate with the teacher to prepare and adapt learning materials, ensuring all students can participate fully.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Track and report on the progress of students, sharing updates with the teaching team and parents when required.
  • Facilitate Inclusive Learning: Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with SEN students, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • An understanding of various SEN strategies and the ability to adapt learning approaches accordingly.

The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £83.50 - £95 per day. GSL Education offers a competitive package, including a comprehensive induction program, ongoing training and development opportunities, and access to a dedicated support team.
