**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of nurses, ensuring the development and maintenance of high standards of nursing care, and taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the clinical area.

**Responsibilities:

  • Take lead for specific areas of professional practice as delegated by the Paediatric Nurse Lead and deputise for the Paediatric Nurse Lead in their absence.
  • Deliver a high standard of nursing care based upon a sound evidence base.
  • Undertake and document a comprehensive, systematic, and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, social, and spiritual needs of patients where appropriate.
  • Influence and monitor the standards of direct patient care delivery in accordance with best practice and operational protocols and guidelines.
  • Lead a nursing team to manage a group of patients throughout a shift.
  • Promote good working relationships within the nursing teams providing appropriate advice and support.

**Requirements:

  • A degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary:** The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
