Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, dependent on experience. Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatrician Specialist to join our dynamic team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing general Paediatric and Neonatal services within the trust. You will also undertake Diabetic Paediatric Outpatient Clinics and participate in resident on-call rota.

  • To provide, with Consultant colleagues, general Paediatric and Neonatal services within George Eliot NHS Trust for the prevention, diagnosis, and management of illness and the proper functioning of the department.
  • To undertake Diabetic Paediatric Outpatient Clinics as appropriate to the skills/interests of the post holder and as agreed at annual Job Planning.
  • The post holder undertakes to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients (including activity data as required) in line with Trust Policy.

You will have up-to-date competence in Practical skills in neonatology and training and experience in general Paediatrics, neonatology, child protection, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, teaching, and participation in audit or research. An area of experience or special interest to complement those of the existing paediatricians is desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
  • Eligible for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register as a Paediatrician or within 6 months of obtaining Specialist Registration on the date of interview.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • APLS/EPLS and NLS Provider (or equivalent).
