About the Role

We are seeking a Nurse Researcher to join our team at Sarah Cannon Research Institute in London. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and trials coordination, including early phase trials, and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating expert research care for patients attending our institute.

As a key member of our team, you will ensure that all research undertaken within the department is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and safeguards the well-being of our patients.

You will also support the recruitment of patients and ensure high-quality early-phase clinical studies are being run within our facility.

The estimated salary for this role is up to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a world-leading clinical trials facility, specialising in the development of new therapies for cancer patients.

You will play a key role in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department is conducted safely and effectively, while providing expert research care for patients attending our institute.

You will also work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials and contribute to the growth and development of our research program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate expert research care for patients attending our institute
  • Ensure all research undertaken within the department is conducted according to GCP
  • Support the recruitment of patients and ensure high-quality early-phase clinical studies are being run within our facility
  • Supervise and monitor the expected and unexpected side effects of drugs and other treatment modalities used in these trials
Requirements
  • NMC current registration (if a Registered Nurse)
  • A Registered Nurse or Clinical Trial Practitioner with at least 3 years of experience in research and trials coordination, including early phase trials
  • Oncology Trials experience
  • Chemotherapy Competent (SACT Passport) if a Registered Nurse
  • Patient assessment and phlebotomy skills
