Job Summary

Brunel University London is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Research Quality and Support Officer within the College Research Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing processes to facilitate the assessment of research conducted across the College and its associated outputs and impact, supporting high-quality submissions to the next Research Excellence Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing processes to facilitate the assessment of research conducted across the College and its associated outputs and impact
  • Applying all aspects of the research ethics policy and other governance and compliance guidelines in the operation of the University Research Ethics application and review process

Requirements

  • A broad understanding of the research environment and research assessment
  • A track record of providing excellent support in a similar role or with transferable experience
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, accessible, and timely support to research-active staff at all levels of seniority, to students, and to other stakeholders
  • Excellent planning, organization, and team-working skills with the ability to work under pressure using initiative and judgment
  • The ability to develop acumen in specific areas and take primary responsibility for their successful administration
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse on complex subjects across a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent IT and technical skills across a broad range of packages
