About the Role:

We are seeking to recruit additional telephone advisers to join our team at Citizens Advice Plymouth. As a Debt and Energy Adviser, you will be working with a wide range of people to find solutions for their debt circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice to clients with debt and energy issues over the phone
  • Helping clients find solutions to their issues through a minimum of 9 advice appointments per week
  • Working in a hybrid model, with a mix of office and remote working
  • Attending training sessions and on-the-job learning to develop your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Resilience and ability to manage phone conversations well
  • Ability to write up case notes accurately and efficiently using Office 365 programs
  • Knowledge of debt and energy advice, and current benefits systems
  • Previous advice work is desirable, but not essential

Training and Development:

You will receive full training and support to develop your skills and knowledge. During your initial classroom training and on-the-job learning, you will be working at our city centre office. Once you have been signed off to provide independent advice, you will have a hybrid work pattern, with a mix of home working and office working.
