We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology and Transfusion team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable analytical data to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out Haematology and Blood Transfusion investigations on samples of blood and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Assist in the provision of reliable and accurate analytical data for the Trust, in accordance with relevant regulatory standards and requirements.
- Work as part of a team of Biomedical Scientists to deliver a patient-orientated medical laboratory service.
- Supervise, train, and guide laboratory staff as required.
- Deputise for Senior Biomedical Scientists as required.
- Assist in the ongoing achievement of departmental quality standards.
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences.
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
