This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a successful and innovative team of transport planners and modellers at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs).

As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future development of the transport infrastructure, which is vital to supporting sustainable economic growth and prosperity in Warwickshire.

The Transport Planning Group identifies, develops, and delivers transport schemes to meet the objectives of the County Council's Local Transport Plan.

The County Council has an enviable record of securing funding and delivering major transport improvements across all modes of travel.

Transport modelling is central to our work and success, and you will be joining an authority that is leading the way in utilising the latest modelling techniques.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be motivated, creative, and have good organisational skills.

Excellent numeracy and analytical skills are required to evaluate and interpret transport data and modelling outputs.

You will also need skills to develop a detailed understanding of transport problems and to identify, explore, and develop solutions.

Advanced Excel skills are necessary to analyse and manipulate complex data.

Previous experience in transport planning and specifically transport modelling is desirable, but not essential as on-the-job training will be given.

This is a full-time position, but applications from candidates seeking flexible or part-time working arrangements will be considered.

We are committed to ensuring Warwickshire's economy is vibrant and supported by the right jobs, training, skills, and infrastructure.

Your future matters to us, and we provide a generous pension scheme which includes an employer contribution rate of typically around 19 percent per month, to help support your financial security during retirement.

The benefits we offer include agile working, a valuable part of the pay and reward package for employees working in local government, generous annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays and an additional day at Christmas, and access to Vivup benefits and discounts platform.

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
