This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and innovative team of transport planners and modellers at Warwickshire County Council. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future development of the transport infrastructure, which is vital to supporting sustainable economic growth and prosperity.
The Transport Planning Group identifies, develops and delivers transport schemes to meet the objectives of the County Council's Local Transport Plan. The County Council has an enviable record of securing funding and delivering major transport improvements across all modes of travel.
As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting transport data and modelling outputs, developing detailed understanding of transport problems and identifying, exploring and developing solutions.
Advanced excel skills are required to analyse and manipulate complex data. Previous experience in transport planning and specifically transport modelling is desirable, but not essential as on-the-job training will be given.
