About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our Dementia Support service in Derby City. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play a vital role in providing support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers, helping to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing tailored support and guidance to meet their individual needs. You will work closely with other professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers, helping them to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.
  • Work with clients to identify their needs and provide tailored support and guidance to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care and support.
  • Deliver groups and workshops to support people with dementia and their carers, promoting social connections and community engagement.

About You

  • Ability to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of dementia and its impact on individuals and communities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Good IT skills, with experience of working with databases and virtual meeting software.
