We are seeking a seasoned Technical Production Director to lead our technical production team and oversee the delivery of high-profile events, exhibitions, and architectural installations in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of complex projects, combining technical expertise with creative vision.

Job Description:

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in technical and production management, as well as a passion for creating extraordinary experiences. You will work closely with lead creatives and producers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Lead and inspire the technical team, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and vision.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring smooth coordination across design, production, and installation teams.
  • Collaborate with clients, creative teams, and stakeholders to understand and deliver tailored project solutions.
  • Oversee detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource planning, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel.

Quality Control:

  • Implement strict quality control processes to ensure all work meets high standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.

Innovation & Improvement:

  • Drive innovation in technical and production methods, materials, and technology.
  • Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure access to high-quality materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance for optimal value.

Budget & Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
  • Provide regular financial reports to senior management, identifying risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years' experience in a senior technical and production management role, preferably within luxury events and large-scale projects. They should also possess a strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and technologies for large installations, as well as a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget. The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
