About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health programs in the State. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all clinical and clinical operations functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, effective, and efficient services to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the counseling and recovery coach teams, working closely with the General Manager, medical leadership, and operational associates throughout the State.
  • Lead from the front, interacting regularly with clients, referral sources, field staff, and members of the local community.
  • Be a resource for clients and community partners, guiding them on the path to recovery.
  • Motivate a high-impact team of medical providers, counselors, and coordinators, helping clients to thrive.
  • Coordinate care services with Central to ensure appropriate and comprehensive communication for quality overview for member care.
  • Seek opportunities and participate in the development of grants and program proposals in response to RFPs, services requests, and/or identified community needs that are aligned with our mission.
  • Directly or delegate the hiring, training, and supervision of all counseling, growth, and operational employees working in the State's programs.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for counseling, supervision, and consultation purposes.
  • Monitor employee utilization, including setting employee utilization goals based on annual budget, reviewing utilization with employees, and developing action plans based on identified barriers to utilization goal attainment when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with Central, Implementation, Tech, Product, Medical, and other State leaders to support projects/initiatives within the State.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or other relevant field.
  • Licensure within the State as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and/or Clinical Social Worker.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience working in the treatment and recovery field.
  • Familiarity with State regulatory requirements for outpatient treatment services as well as CARF standards for care.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the State in order to be familiar with our in-person locations as well as facilitate in-person meetings with BLP Teammates.
