Project Worker Role
About the Role
Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our team at Whitstable Road in Canterbury. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people to maximise their potential and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to encourage our young people to reach their full potential and independence
- Be a first point of contact for customer queries and provide clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy, and dignity are maintained
- Support progress towards independence in managing positive mental health
- Offer one-to-one support as required
- Promote safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers' needs
- Regularly assess the needs of customers, writing and updating support plans
- Develop professional relationships with customers using appropriate and clear communication
- Deliver small group activities to promote recovery and well-being
Requirements
- Experience of working with young people
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Strong organisational skills and functional literacy and numeracy
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities while working to deadlines and targets
- NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards is essential
