Job Summary

Alrewas Surgery is seeking an experienced Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, working closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to promote health and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing routine nursing care to patients, including observations, venepuncture, and wound care
  • Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings
  • Implementing and participating in routine immunisations and vaccinations
  • Assisting patients with long-term conditions, including diabetes management and chronic disease monitoring
  • Providing health promotion and protection services, including health education and screening activities
About Us

Alrewas Surgery is a semi-rural practice serving 7000 patients. We are a staff team of 27, including GPs, nurses, HCA, clinical pharmacists, and administrative and management staff.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Competent basic nursing duties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of health and safety and infection control requirements
  • Competent IT skills

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a primary care setting and be able to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team. A demonstrable commitment to professional development is essential.
