As a Mathematics Programme Leader, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging maths programmes, assessing learners' maths abilities, and providing individualised support to help them achieve their learning goals.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a minimum of A-level or equivalent maths qualification, along with experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics, preferably at GCSE and/or Functional Skills level. You must have strong knowledge of the Functional Skills maths curriculum and assessment requirements, as well as excellent understanding of teaching methodologies and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities- Programme Development: Design and implement mathematics programmes that cater to the needs of adult learners, ensuring they meet the Functional Skills maths curriculum requirements.
- Learner Support: Provide individualised support to learners, addressing their specific learning needs and challenges through one-on-one meetings and additional learning resources.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assess learners' maths abilities, identifying areas for improvement and providing regular feedback to support their learning and progress.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of A-level or equivalent maths qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics, preferably at GCSE and/or Functional Skills level.
- Strong knowledge of the Functional Skills maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent understanding of teaching methodologies and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
