About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care. As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of our complex client group within an in-patient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, advise, and intervene with the aim of promoting functional communication systems and optimal independence.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive SLT service.
  • Train others, promote good practice, and maintain a successful total communication environment.
  • Screen, assess, and manage eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties.
Requirements
  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
  • Experience in the field of adult mental health and/or ASD.
  • Dysphagia qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Passionate about student education.
