Job Summary

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a confident and passionate Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Adarna House. As a maternity leave cover, this is a unique opportunity to deliver an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of our complex client group.

Main Duties

As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, advising, and intervening to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an SLT service that meets the needs of our clients. You will also be responsible for training others, promoting good practice, and maintaining a successful total communication environment.

Requirements
  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
  • Experience in the field of adult mental health and/or ASD
  • Dysphagia qualification is desirable
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Passionate about student education
