Laboratory Team Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our expanding Physico Chemical Testing team within our Environmental Sciences department at HAR Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Limited.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the laboratories and collaborate with the Team Leader to organize staff workloads.
- Set up and perform various studies using appropriate instrumentation with routine and non-routine methods.
- Critically review study protocols and suggest changes where necessary.
- Provide input and participate in study meetings.
- Maintain study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and review own work for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment.
- Deliver results within agreed timeframes, recognizing changes in priorities and supporting studies in non-primary areas of work.
- Write, review, and revise standard SOPs related to primary areas of work.
- Conduct most processes/tasks in support of a broad portfolio of study types.
- Participate in QC review of selected routine data and validation projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment and perform routine maintenance.
- Attend pre-study and terminal reviews, brief staff on any amendments to ensure compliance.
- Exercise line management responsibility, supporting, mentoring, and counseling laboratory team members to ensure efficient completion of experimental procedures, data recording, health and safety factors, and housekeeping to the highest standards of animal welfare and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Review the training needs, development, and progress of staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum A-levels or equivalent; degree in a relevant scientific field preferred.
- Supervisory experience within a laboratory, preferably working to regulatory standards such as GLP.
- Previous experience of staff management, including development and training, is desirable.
- Previous experience of Physico Chemical testing is essential.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills paired with attention to detail.
