Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to join our team in Oxfordshire. In this permanent role, you will support the Quality department and work closely with suppliers to implement best practices, reduce variation, and minimize defects.

Main Accountabilities
  • Implement process standardisation, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
  • Address internal non-conformities, quarantine suspect stock, rework or scrap as necessary, and implement corrective actions
  • Provide data for weekly and monthly management review meetings, including quality issue investigations from the previous week
  • Conduct shop floor audits and sample inspections as required by the Quality Manager
  • Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports, Capability Studies, and R&R studies as needed
  • Compile material compliance data, generate reports when necessary
  • Efficiently resolve customer issues
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives using RCA tools such as 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, and FMEA's
  • Achieve lower reject rates, eliminate system errors, and reduce overall quality costs
  • Monitor output, quality, and scrap rates, improving OTD performance
  • Maintain product and supplier records
  • Enhance QMS processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • HNC qualification or relevant experience
  • IATF16949 experience desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP would be beneficial
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Right first time approach
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
