AlphaBiolabs seeks a highly skilled Analytical Chemist, Toxicology to join our team in the laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine analyses using techniques such as immunoassay, LLE, SLE, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) to a legally defensible standard.

The successful candidate will also carry out administrative tasks to ensure continuity of samples for each case and other general analytical chemistry laboratory procedures where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and departmental procedures within the QMS/EMS.
  • Evaluate and critically assess data from analysis for interpretation by the reporting scientist.
  • Report results for both workplace and legal cases where required.
  • Provide support services to the Toxicology Team, including reagent preparation, sample preparation/accessioning, and lab maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean working environment within the laboratory and complete all relevant paperwork.
  • Adhere to Good Laboratory practice and quality systems.
  • Train new and existing employees.
  • Report quality/environmental non-conformances/incidents and technical problems to the relevant manager or senior analyst as required.

Person Specification:

  • Degree in a relevant scientific discipline and/or relevant experience of working in a high throughput ISO17025 laboratory environment.
  • Promotes a right-first-time attitude with a quality focus while completing live work tasks.
