We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Tata Steel UK. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing, maintaining, and developing engineering services for capital and special revenue projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans in line with long-term strategies, ensuring all phases, from concept to final acceptance, are fully delivered.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards during all lifecycle phases, including design, specification, installation, and maintenance.
  • Support improvement and capital plans as decided by the Senior Engineering team.
  • Provide expert engineering support for improvement work and problem-solving.
  • Assist in setting Tata Steel Trostre's policy in line with ISO/IEC, EN, BS, and Tata Steel guidance.
  • Organize and document safety studies, such as risk assessments, HAZOP, and FMEA.
  • Participate in call-out systems for plant support and provide out-of-hours assistance as needed.
  • Use SAP and manage changes with the creation of Management of Change documents.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the steel industry, with a degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, risk assessments, and safety studies.
  • Strong analytical, computing, and communication skills.
  • Able to create reports and manage projects.
  • A full driving license and valid passport may be needed for occasional UK and European travel.
