Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Tata Steel Packaging UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring all phases are fully delivered.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards during all lifecycle phases.
  • Support improvement and capital plans as decided by the Senior Engineering team.
  • Provide expert engineering support for improvement work and problem-solving.
  • Assist in setting Tata Steel Trostre's policy in line with ISO/IEC, EN, BS, and Tata Steel guidance.
  • Organize and document safety studies, such as risk assessments, HAZOP, and FMEA.
  • Participate in call-out systems for plant support and provide out-of-hours assistance as needed.
  • Use SAP and manage changes with the creation of Management of Change documents.

Requirements:

As an experienced Electrical Project Engineer, you should have a degree in engineering, combined with experience in the steel industry. Knowledge of project management techniques, risk assessments, and safety studies is essential. Strong analytical, computing, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to create reports. A full driving license and valid passport may be needed for occasional UK and European travel.
