We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Swallowcourt Limited. The successful candidate will have a good general level of education, preferably an NVQ 3 or other relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, and experience as a carer. In addition, supervisory experience and clinical training to meet the needs of the position would be advantageous.

Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity to support the Head of Care and Nursing Team in delivering excellent nursing and personal care. You will contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home, assist with clinical aspects of care, and provide exceptional support to residents and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out tasks delegated by the Head of Care/nurse within the arena of knowledge and skills.
  • Administer medication, dispense, and order.
  • Manage fluid and incontinence charts.
  • Deliver wound care.
  • Assist with PEG feeds.
  • Carry out venepuncture.
  • Collect MSU's.
  • Conduct care plan reviews.
  • Audit care charts and files.
  • Liaise with GPs.
  • Liaise with Boots.
  • Receive telephone enquiries.
Requirements
  • Good general level of education.
  • NVQ 3 or other relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience as a carer.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Clinical training to meet the needs of the position.
