Job Summary:

Context Labs is seeking a Climate Change Mitigation Specialist to provide technical expertise supporting the deployment of our Decarbonization as a Service platform.

About the Position:

This individual will serve as a critical nexus to bridge the gap between our sales team, customers, and software engineering team, providing oil & gas industry facility knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), EPA GHG Emissions Data, and other relevant facility emission documentation to identify potential sources of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
  • Actively interface between customers and software development teams to ensure all required data is ingested into our software platform.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support data analytics teams in performing advanced quantitative analysis of GHG emissions and identifying mitigation opportunities.
  • Create and manage project execution plans to ensure deliverables are executed to the highest quality and on-time.
  • Provide highly responsive customer service and maintain high member satisfaction, proactively identifying and resolving issues before, during, and after implementation.
  • Communicate effectively across large matrix teams to ensure sales, engineering, and leadership are coordinated and informed.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate has 5+ years of oil & gas industry operations experience and is interested in deploying this experience in a new way to meaningfully contribute to a rapidly growing start-up focused on climate change mitigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (process/process safety, facilities/operations, mechanical, environmental, or similar related field).
  • Significant experience in oil & gas operating facilities (upstream, midstream, or downstream) with thorough understanding of process flow and fluid property fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effects Charts (C&E), Electrical One-Lines, Facility Layout Drawings, and similar engineered facility drawings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Scheduling Tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SmartSheet, or similar).

Salary Information: The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
