Personal Assistant for Young Adult with Autism

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Personal Assistant to support a young adult with autism in their daily life. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of autism and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for our client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany our client to various activities and outings, including swimming and trampolining
  • Support our client in making choices and communicating their needs
  • Ensure our client's safety and well-being at all times
  • Manage our client's finances and possessions
  • Develop and implement new activities and hobbies to enhance our client's quality of life
  • Communicate effectively with our client's mother and other relevant parties

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Access to a car for transportation

Working Arrangements

This is a casual position, with a focus on school holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be paid at a rate of NMW + 40p per mile for journeys made in their own vehicle.
