Job Description

The Engineering intern will be involved in the design of steam turbine components for GE Vernova's products, which provide modern technology to upgrade existing power plants, improving reliability and efficiency while reducing emissions.

Technical training in other aspects of steam plant will be provided, and the intern will be fully supervised by staff to explain tools and methods used.

The intern will report to the Manager, Steam Turbine Design, and be involved in:

  1. Definition of 3D design of rotors, casings, and associated components
  2. Iteration of design to suit input from other disciplines
  3. Definition of materials, processes, factory, and site assembly procedures
  4. Approval of drawings and parts lists created by the draughting team
Key Responsibilities

Design Engineered Components

The intern will work on the design of steam turbine components, including rotors, casings, and associated components, using CATIA V5 CAD system.

Collaborate with Disciplines

The intern will work with other disciplines to iterate the design and ensure it meets the requirements.

Develop Assembly Procedures

The intern will develop materials, processes, factory, and site assembly procedures for the designed components.
