About the Role
Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled individual to lead our Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence team. As a Research and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in developing a systematic approach to evidence informed practice, providing training and support to colleagues, and developing research infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the development of a research culture within the Council, including networking and influencing senior colleagues.
- Delivering research awareness and knowledge mobilisation activities.
- Facilitating and providing training on finding and using evidence.
- Assessing the Council's research readiness and identifying development needs.
- Supporting the development of research infrastructure and processes.
About You
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in applied research and evaluation methods, experience of working in a large organization, and the ability to influence and engage with senior leaders. You should have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to lead and motivate others.
