Job Title: Unaccompanied Children Social Services Specialist

About the Role:
The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their team in providing support to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This role offers an opportunity to work with a well-structured and organised team, with excellent support and opportunities for training to enhance your skills. The position is initially 3-6 months, with potential for extension, subject to internal circumstances and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in need.
  • Analysing information and making recommendations on the appropriate services or support for individual children and their families.
  • Knowledge of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 - broad understanding of immigration rules/Home Office guidance.
  • Dealing with more complex or unusual cases, assessing and managing risks appropriately.

Requirements:
  • Post qualifying experience of working as an Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
  • 2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
  • Access to a variety of Social Care jobs Nationwide.
  • DBS and Compliance Service.
  • Guaranteed weekly payment.

Salary:£30,000 -£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
