We are committed to delivering exceptional services that support the well-being and independence of looked-after children aged 15-25. Our team at iPeople Solutions seeks a highly skilled Children's Social Worker to join our Supporting Independence Team in Chester, Cheshire West and Chester localities.

The successful candidate will work closely with young people, developing their independent living skills through care planning and pathway planning. A strong background in assessment and pathway planning for looked-after children is essential, as well as knowledge of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (Dols) and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

To excel in this role, you must have at least three years of post-qualification experience and a proven track record in quality case work that meets Cheshire West's expectations. You should be able to work openly and honestly with children, families, and partner agencies, fostering positive outcomes and relationships.

We offer excellent supervision, manageable caseloads, and access to in-house training and development opportunities to support your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting looked-after children aged 15-25 to develop independent living skills
  • Working with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Post-qualified social worker with at least three years of experience
  • Experience in assessment and pathway planning for looked-after children
  • Knowledge of Dols and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
