We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Administrator to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Chartered Financial Planning practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between clients, advisers, and third-party product providers.
  • Establish and maintain accurate electronic client files.
  • Process new business applications, ensuring all information is up-to-date and transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Sources quotations, illustrations, and supporting documentation for clients.
  • Prepare valuations, reports, and materials for client meetings.
  • Ensure all work adheres to the firm's compliance procedures.
  • Follow established procedures, systems, and templates for processing work.
  • Act on own initiative to prioritize workload in a timely manner.
  • Deal with post and answer phone calls.

Personal Qualities:

  • Maintain and increase technical knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge.
  • Keep CPD records in accordance with the firm's T&D plan.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and do not discuss client financial and personal affairs with third parties without client permission.
  • Maintain awareness of new products and market developments.
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are polite and respectful, representing the firm in a professional manner.

Qualifications/Capabilities:

  • Continually improve upon qualifications and skills by following a programme of personal development as agreed with the firm.
  • Maintain an acceptable knowledge of the Regulatory framework.

Skills:

  • Understanding information and documentation required to process new business, claims, and amendments to existing client policies and investments.
  • Keyboard and computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Adviser Office, Papercloud, and Gateway.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with colleagues, clients, and companies.
  • Letter writing skills and information presentation.
  • High degree of organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of financial services products.
  • Experience of provider investment platforms.
  • Experience within the financial services industry.
