Job Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Director for Product Development to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineering professional to lead product development during the lifecycle of crucial projects in space science and earth observation.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering technical leadership and direction to project teams, with a focus on space sector projects. They will be responsible for gathering requirements, building detailed plans, and managing risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engineering governance and Engineering Management Plans, with excellent stakeholder management skills and technical documentation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical leadership and direction to the project team
  • Gather requirements and build detailed plans
  • Support throughout the project lifecycle with engineering governance and Engineering Management Plans
  • Identify risks and opportunities and manage them accordingly
  • Contribute to bidding activity
  • Configuration control

The estimated salary for this role is £90,000-£130,000 per annum, depending on experience.
