Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a major teaching hospital for the North East of Scotland, providing tertiary services for the NHS Grampian Region and the Shetland and Orkney Islands.
The Renal Unit offers a range of services, including peritoneal and haemodialysis, acute renal replacement, and renal transplantation. The unit has an active research programme, working jointly with Aberdeen University, and key interests range from the basic biology of renal inflammatory disease to the epidemiology of Chronic Kidney Disease and associated health servicing planning.
The post would join a team of ST's and Clinical Fellows, working with a team of 9 NHS Consultants and 1 Academic Consultant. The standard working week is 40 hours, plus out of hours work, and the pay banding will reflect the working pattern in operation from the first day of taking up appointment.
