Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a major teaching hospital for the North East of Scotland, providing tertiary services for the NHS Grampian Region and the Shetland and Orkney Islands. The Renal Unit offers a comprehensive range of services, including peritoneal and haemodialysis, acute renal replacement, and renal transplantation.

The post of Locum Appointment for Training (ST4) in Renal Medicine is a fixed-term 6-month opportunity to gain specialist training in Renal Medicine. The post is designed to support a personal training plan, suitable for an individual wishing to pursue a career in Renal Medicine. The Renal service in Grampian has an excellent track record in providing training opportunities for the Renal Specialty training programme.

The successful candidate will work with a team of STs and Clinical Fellows, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills in the management of Renal disease. The postgraduate educational facilities at Aberdeen University are excellent, and the Suttie Centre for medical education provides a supportive environment for learning.

The post is open to candidates who are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centred care, and who are passionate about Renal Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to contribute to the development of the Renal service in Grampian.
