About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our client's small and friendly HR team as a part-time HR generalist advisor. Based in central Reading, you will work 21-25 hours per week, supporting the HR management team with various duties.

Duties:

  • Managing the HR inbox and ensuring timely responses to employee queries.
  • Coordinating day-to-day recruitment activities, including onboarding and preparing monthly payroll changes.
  • Supporting the Head of HR with employment relations issues, providing advice and guidance when needed.
  • Leading on employee assistance program (EAP) activities, including promoting services through poster campaigns and email communications.
  • Preparing quarterly reports on absence and sickness data, exit interview findings, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the Head of HR to develop learning and development programs, using data from skills audits and gap analyses.
  • Creating career maps for employees and drafting support documentation for learning and development initiatives.
  • Organizing on-site pension days and drop-in sessions with a broker, as well as drafting the monthly HR internal staff newsletter submission.
  • Assisting with note-taking at internal employee forums.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need CIPD qualification, a master's degree in HR or Business/ Psychology, and 3-5 years of experience in HR generalist roles across various industries. You must have dealt with the employee life cycle, have a good understanding of employment law, and managed ER cases.

Location and Working Hours:

You will work 21-25 hours per week, based in our offices in central Reading. The location offers excellent transport links, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a part-time role.
