Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Real Life Options in Inverurie. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live an ordinary life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as medication management, meal preparation, and personal care.
  • Accompany individuals to social activities, such as parties, bingo, and dances, to promote social interaction and community engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's behavior or well-being to the support team.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a supporting role, preferably in a care or social care setting.
  • Upbeat personality and ability to encourage individuals to live an ordinary life.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior, including verbal and physical challenges.
  • Flexibility to work across the service, supporting individuals with varying needs.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the support team.
