Job Title: Chief Administrative Officer

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for governance and infrastructure development? Do you have a proven track record of building and maintaining sustainable organisations? We are seeking a Chief Administrative Officer to join our team at the Welsh Target Shooting Federation (WTSF).

About the Role

The Chief Administrative Officer will be responsible for the development of governance, pathways, and infrastructure of the WTSF and the sport of target shooting in Wales. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing annual operating plans and working with the Finance Director and Manager in creating financial plans.
  • Building and maintaining a sustainable organisation to ensure that WTSF operates within best practice across all activities.
  • Developing and nurturing sound and effective relationships with key stakeholders, including national and local government and international organisations.
  • Leading and managing the WTSF staff team and implementing monitoring and evaluating systems to ensure progress towards individual and corporate targets.
  • Project managing the development of a national shooting centre, working with key partners to create a sustainable shooting centre focused on improving performance and meeting the needs of the wider community.
About the Team

The WTSF is a recognised governing body for the sport of target shooting in Wales, representing five member associations. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, committed to developing the sport and providing opportunities for our members.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000, plus a workplace pension contribution and 15 days holiday per year plus statutory days. You will also have the opportunity to work from home and our office in the National Sports Centre, with national travel required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle (a mileage allowance will be paid).
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of building and maintaining sustainable organisations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective systems and controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and nurture sound and effective relationships with key stakeholders.
