About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our 24hr healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with mental health and learning disabilities & neurodiversity.

Working in a secure setting, you will have a working knowledge of local and national policies and legislation that govern current service provision. You will identify and contribute to the training needs of others and promote issues of equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with good practice legislation.

You will work in partnership with HMPPS prison staff to support the operation of the healthcare environment. Our service has defined structured Mental Health teams in operation, and you will be part of a nursing team that supports the assessment of prisoners within a 24hr healthcare environment.

Person Specification
  • Qualification for Mental Health or Learning Disability nursing
  • NMC registration or if a student pending
  • Previous experience of working in a secure setting, such as PICU, MSU
