We believe that by sharing existing or learning new skills, our volunteers can make a tangible impact on our community. As a Social Empowerment Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading and managing volunteer programs that align with our organization's mission and values.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and retain volunteers, providing training and support to help them develop new skills and confidence. You will also be involved in identifying and addressing the needs of our community, working closely with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy, targeting hard-to-reach groups and communities.
  • To provide training and support to volunteers, helping them develop new skills and confidence.
  • To work closely with stakeholders to identify and address the needs of our community, developing effective solutions to promote positive ageing.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of community development and social empowerment principles, with experience in volunteer management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
