Special Educational Needs Specialist

Transform the lives of young people with special educational needs in a supportive, inclusive environment that fosters growth and achievement. This daily supply position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils' lives.
The Role:- Create tailored lessons catering to the diverse requirements of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff members to create a consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Utilise diverse teaching methods, including visual aids, sensory tools, and assistive technology, to engage pupils.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging pupils to participate confidently.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, adapting instruction and materials as necessary to meet individual learning objectives.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Prior experience working with pupils having MLD, ASC, SLD, and/or SEMH is advantageous.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and the emotional well-being of all pupils.
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
