About the Role

The team advises on a wide range of contractual arrangements for strategic projects and day-to-day business across various industries, with a strong focus on supporting advanced manufacturing companies. This includes everything from operators of major process plants to specialised life sciences supply chain businesses.

The individual will be involved in all aspects of transactions and projects, including contract strategy, drafting, negotiation, data protection, and risk management. They will work closely with clients' in-house legal teams, providing an in-house style of service for businesses without internal legal support.

The workload will resemble in-house practice, but with the added variety of working with a broad mix of clients and specialists from different areas. The individual will contribute to the growth of multi-jurisdictional work, handling large-scale industrial projects for multinational corporations, as well as supporting rapidly growing scale-up businesses and SMEs.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking to recruit a lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts, gained at a City or large regional firm, or in-house. The ideal candidate must have expertise in a commercial environment, applying contract law in practical situations. Experience in handling complex, high-profile transactions, including supply chain management, procurement, outsourcing, and research and development, is essential.

The ability to deliver complex legal advice in a clear and practical way that is easily understood by non-lawyers is also required. Strong drafting and communication skills, enthusiasm for the practice area, and a commitment to delivering first-class client service are crucial.
