About Us

We are a dynamic and ambitious team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, seeking a talented Senior Engineer to join our Traffic and Engineering section. Our team is responsible for the management and delivery of highway engineering services, and we are committed to making our recruitment practices as inclusive as possible for everyone.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of highway public realm improvements, active travel and safer routes to school schemes, and traffic calming and casualty reduction schemes to support Wandsworth's transport initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to work on Section and projects, drainage and Sustainable drainage systems projects to safeguard the Council's highways interest and to reduce the risk of surface water flooding.

  • Design and delivery of highway projects
  • Management of highway public realm improvements
  • Active travel and safer routes to school schemes
  • Traffic calming and casualty reduction schemes
  • Section and projects, drainage and Sustainable drainage systems projects
Requirements
  • Sound theoretical and practical highway/traffic engineering application
  • Working knowledge of highways, street works, and relevant legislations
  • Proven experience in delivering highway projects
  • Commercially astute
  • Good IT skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft packages
