Resources Manager

The Resources Officer will provide high-quality, cost-effective, and timely business support to Cultural Services, balancing planned and reactive needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Process invoices, record income, and maintain a clear audit trail of processed transactions.
- Monitor service budgets to ensure accurate reporting, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to financial forecasts.
- Collate, analyze, and present statistical and financial data, producing reports for the service and senior management as required.
- Lead the procurement of resources and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring the best service is provided within allocated resources.
- Support frontline engagement services, such as development, community activity, arts, and heritage, and assist colleagues in allocating and monitoring funding.
Cultural Services, part of Sutton Council, comprises eight public libraries, three heritage houses, and a year-round cultural program for all ages. We provide a vital part of community life in Sutton, supporting early years development, digital literacy, community activities, study space, cultural celebrations, and access to Council services.
About YouThe successful candidate will:
- Have experience liaising with diverse stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
- Have technical and professional skills in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial data analysis.
- Be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Have experience managing or supervising staff, motivating, and leading them.
- Be able to produce meaningful financial or data reports for senior management, contributing to service improvements and corporate objectives.
