SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Primary student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a High Wycombe school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the student with ASD, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring the student's needs are met.
  • Support the student's social and emotional development, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with ASD or other special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices, with a commitment to promoting inclusive education.
