Aviva Data Architect Role Overview

This position sits within the Data Architecture department, which is part of the Group Architecture function at Aviva. As a forward-thinking Enterprise Data Architect, you will be responsible for building Aviva's Customer & Market data strategy to deliver competitive advantages by providing optimised customer insight, responsiveness, and marketability across Aviva Group.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £90,000 nationally and £120,000 in London. Bonus opportunities include 12% of annual salary, while pension schemes offer up to 14% contribution from Aviva. A generous holiday package includes 29 days plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell up to 5 days.

Data Strategy Execution
  • Develop data architecture strategies and execute them in large organisations like Aviva, leveraging experience in Martech/Customer Data Platforms as an advantage.
  • Making highly sophisticated decisions balancing near-term value delivery with longer-term sustainability.
  • Influencing through building positive relationships and strong communication adapted to consider audience environment, drivers, and needs.
  • Expertise in all things data including lifecycle, technologies, data-patterns, domain-driven design, insights, analytics, and machine learning, master and reference data management, integration, data warehousing, NoSQL, data quality, metadata, and data compliance.
  • Outwardly looking with an excellent understanding of industry standard data strategies and trends alongside technologies and business models.
